Hi Amy,

I have a daughter Amy. She's a lovely girl (mother of 4 in pre-med school!) and you seem to be also. Thank you so much for thinking of me--it's one of the nicest things we can do for someone, to think of them (kind thoughts only!).

Yes, we do get so caught up in our lives, and might I add, our own agendas to realize how much God really is taking care of us! Sometimes I get so frustrated because the plans I have made have to be changed, but then I realize that God was looking out for me. This happened in a big way last year. I was supposed to leave to go to Kenya, but had to delay my plans. My father was dying, and I had rescheduled my trip once already. I know that sounds like I was more interested in my trip, but Dad had been very sick for the past year. The doctors said he could last another year, or he could go any day. I had hoped we would have more time with him. Anyway, I postponed my trip, and the next day the rioting and killing broke out in Kenya, right where I would have been! While it broke my heart that I wasn't there to comfort my friends, it was better for them that they didn't have to worry about trying to protect me! Of course, being a white, female American-- I myself would have been an easy target, and would have put us all in danger. I'm so thankful that God gave me the foresight to postpone. My dad died two weeks later--two days following my birthday. God is good, and He is desires to bless us.

Please come back often!

Hi Cynthia!

You are such a considerate soul! Thank you so much for all of your kind thoughts and comments, and especially your prayers.

I would love to know more about your friend in Egypt. He certainly is a brave man to do any type of evangelism in Egypt. When I go speak to pastors (I train pastors all over the world) in Africa, I always remind them that Africa is where Mary and Joseph escaped to when Herod wanted to kill Jesus. I also remind them that it was in Africa that the people of God (at that time the Hebrew people) cried out to God and He heard their cries. He still hears the cries of His people in Africa, and He has not forgotten them!

Please do keep me in your prayers. I need a good team to carry out the plans we have, and it's hard to get people to committ in this day of uncertainity. But, when the going gets tough--American's get tougher! We are a strong people, a blessed people. We can not give into fear--we must believe the best about our country and fight the good fight.

See you at Rosie's soon. I miss having time there, but I have been so busy playing catch-up that I work from sun up til after mid-night.

Blessings,

Echoing cynkading here in my relief in hearing that you are doing ok. I was just thinking of you and wondering if you were alright, and then there you were at Rose's place..

You are right, God does take care of us, sometimes we are just so caught up in our lives that we don't notice.

Hello!

I have checked in a time or two and felt that something was amiss with you. Praise God for your great news about your health. I saw where you were on Rose's and felt I had to stop by and say hello. I will be with you in spirit as you travel to Kenya. I currently have a great evangelist/preacher friend in Egypt who is doing some underground evangelism and is persuing archaelogical findings of where the Red Sea Crossing may have been. He has been involved in many digs over there. BTW, He has the 3rd largest Biblical Archaelogical Museum in the world. Some of his artifacts date back to Abraham.

Be blessed!
